We received the most wonderful and personalized care throughout our pregnancy and delivery at Haven. The midwives were extremely knowledgeable, available via text/phone 24/7 and provided such a trusting and calm environment for us to bring our baby girl into the world. I would highly recommend Haven if you are wanting to go the alternative route and not go through an OBGYNO. Your care will be more detailed, personalized and wholistic. Thank you Haven!

Haven was my dream midwifery when I first found out I was pregnant with my first child in 2020. Due to insurance reasons I wasn’t able to go through them for care at that time. For my second child, I lived in Wasilla before they opened their Valley location and didn’t want to make the drive to Anchorage. Finally, for my third, I was able to start care with Bethel and her team at Haven, at their new Valley location. I actually had a consultation with Bethel prior to becoming pregnant, as I had tons of birth trauma and tons of questions for how x-y-or z would be handled. Bethel instilled nothing but confidence in me. The care I received from the Haven team was exemplary. I felt cherished as a mother, I felt validated as a person and a patient, my husband and I were seen as a team, and I felt that my unborn child was so so valued. After two hospital births, with one being an emergent transfer, I finally got my dream birth - a home water birth, surrounded by people who loved and valued me. Laura was the primary midwife for my birth and vocalized so much confidence and surety in my body and my strength to birth, especially when I started to doubt myself and panicked. My birth team prayed over me, encouraged me, coached me through what they could. They ultimately helped me heal from my past birth trauma. That healing began at the start of this pregnancy and continued through birth and has continued into my postpartum period. I am genuinely a little sad to not get to see the Haven team as often anymore but know that I will likely be back, God willing! I can’t imagine seeing anyone else for prenatal and birth care.

I started with Haven when I was in my first trimester and remained with them until my third (32+ weeks) when we abruptly moved back to the lower 48. This is my second child - my first was born in a hospital after laboring in a birth center and then transferring. I was very determined to have a different experience the second time around and I am so glad I found Haven! I was very sad to leave Haven because of how incredible my pregnancy care had been with them. I felt seen, heard, understood and truly cared for and I never once felt like my pregnancy was a medical condition and for that I am so thankful. I cannot recommend all of the midwives there, and Asher, enough. I was prepping for my first home birth with them and I felt so confident and empowered and just in the best of hands I could have hoped for. I won't get to birth with any of their amazing midwives, but I took all of that knowledge and comfort with me to our new state and will bring it into my home birth that I'll have in a few weeks from now. I miss you all - thank you so much for your incredible care during my pregnancy!!!
